Greetings to all. I have been collecting wind machines and related information since the mid 1970's. I operated a used wind charger business - Windependence - before going to work for Windworks and went on the work with M.L. Jacobs in the 1980's when we acquired Wincharger/Winco. I returned to my auto industry roots in 1990 and played a key role in developing national and global EV and PEV infrastructure standards - SAE J1772, NEC Article 625, and IEC 61851. After retiring, I wrote a book on the history of electricity in America with a special focus on the 32v. farm and wind electric plant industry from 1916 to the early 1950's (The Hybrid Electric Home - Clean, Efficient, Profitable). I put a 3.4 kW solar system on my home recently and am returning to energy interests again- including restoring a vintage Winpower 1800 Watt machine. I am planning to get a booth at the 2015 Midwest Renewable Energy Fair and share information that I have acquired over the years(I did a workshop a few years ago). I helped Terry with this site and operate three websites myself - www.hybridelectrichome.com, www.windcharger.org (with a d and a .org), and www.doctordelco.com. I look forward to chatting and hopefully meet some of you and the fair next year.
